Before the session, we will talk through your vision, preferred locations, outfits, props, sports, and hobbies. You do not need to have it all figured out - I will help shape the plan with you.

For soft, flattering light, early morning or late afternoon is best. Whenever possible, we avoid the harsh midday sun and plan around golden hour.

A meaningful place

Natural scenery, an urban setting, your school, a field, or somewhere personal to you can all work beautifully. We will choose locations that fit your style.

Clothes that feel like you

Choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Solid colors and timeless styles photograph especially well, and variety gives your gallery more range.

Bring what tells your story: sports gear, a musical instrument, favorite books, a letterman jacket, your pet, or another hobby that matters to you.

How far ahead should I schedule my session?

My calendar can fill several months ahead. For a fall session, reach out during the summer. For a spring session, get in touch during the winter.

What happens if it rains?

I will watch the forecast, stay in touch, and help make the best call before we meet. If we need to reschedule, no worries - we will still get your session done.

Do you travel for destination sessions?

Absolutely. If you have a special place in mind - the beach, the mountains, or anywhere meaningful - reach out and I will prepare a custom quote and travel plan.

When will I receive my pictures?

Classic sessions are usually delivered within 2-3 weeks. Signature sessions include priority gallery delivery within 7-10 business days. I will message you as soon as your gallery is ready.

How many pictures will I receive?

There is no preset image limit. You will receive every final portrait from your session, professionally edited and delivered in your private online gallery. There is no extra charge per image.

How do I view and download my pictures?

Your finished images are delivered through a private online gallery where you can view, download, and order prints. The proof gallery remains available for 9-12 months, with an extension available if needed.

What counts as one location area?

One location area can include several nearby settings without significant driving. For example, a school field, the surrounding school grounds, and a nearby garden or walkway may all provide different looks within one general area.

Does travel between locations count toward the session time?

Yes. For sessions with more than one location area, driving time between locations is included within the scheduled session time. Choosing nearby locations helps us spend more of that time taking pictures.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is accepted by cash, check, or digital payment through Venmo or Zelle. Checks can be made payable to Mike Emond Photography.

Can I share my photos?

Yes. When sharing finished images or social posts, please do not add filters, change the crop, or remove the logo. Your print release covers personal printing and sharing, while copyright remains with Mike Emond Photography.
